Unlike a dealer that buys and sells at its own fixed prices, Pure runs a live order book on every product, so buyers and sellers see market-driven prices instead of one shop's spread. Buyers pay no marketplace fee (a card surcharge applies only on Pure Priority orders, plus shipping). Sellers pay a percentage fee that starts at 0.75% for bullion and steps down by quarterly volume. Every item is authenticated at Pure's verification facility and shipped insured both ways.
How are fees structured on Pure?
Buyers: no marketplace fee. Buyers pay only outbound shipping, plus a 2.9% card surcharge if they choose to pay by card on a Pure Priority order. Bank wire and ACH carry no surcharge.
Sellers: a percentage fee set by a quarterly tier and product type. The baseline (Copper) tier is 0.75% for bullion, 1.00% for platinum, silver, and palladium, and 1.5% for numismatic coins. Higher quarterly sales move you into Silver, Gold, and Plum tiers with lower rates.
Why does the order-book model matter for price?
On Pure, each product has a live order book where buyers, sellers, collectors, wholesalers, and dealers place bids and asks and compete on price. Both sides see the same live market rather than one dealer's fixed retail spread. This describes how the marketplace mechanism works; it is not advice about when to buy or sell, and Pure does not predict prices.
What can I buy and sell on Pure?
Gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion bars and coins; certified and graded rare coins; pre-1933 gold; silver dollars; and new US Mint releases. If an item you want is not in the catalog, you can suggest it for the marketplace.
How does Pure keep transactions safe?
Every item sold on Pure is authenticated at Pure's Los Angeles facility using XRF and a Sigma Metalytics verifier, with about a 24-hour turnaround, before it reaches the buyer.
