The Vault lets you store metals you own with Pure instead of having them shipped to you, while you keep full ownership and control from your dashboard. It is currently in beta for a limited group of users. Here is how it works and when it is useful.
What you can do with the Vault today
There are three ways items get in and out:
Send a purchase straight to the Vault. During checkout, or when placing a bid, you can choose the Vault as the destination instead of your address. Orders sent to the Vault incur no shipping fees.
Ship your own items in. From the Shipments tab in your dashboard, you create an incoming shipment with the carrier, tracking number, and items. When a vaulted item arrives, it is received, verified, and stored on your behalf.
Fulfill a sale from your holdings. If you sell an item that is already in your Vault, you fulfill the order from the Fulfillment Requests tab in a few clicks. Nothing to pack, nothing to ship.
Your Vault Holdings tab shows everything stored, including which items have been used to fulfill orders.
When the Vault makes sense
Nothing stored at home. You do not need a safe, and nothing arrives at your door. Your items are stored with us and visible in your dashboard whenever you want to look.
Buying without the shipping step. Buying to the Vault carries no shipping fees, so if you buy often, it can be your default destination, and you ship home only what you actually want in hand.
Selling straight from your holdings. An item in the Vault has already been received and verified, so when it sells, fulfillment happens from the dashboard instead of a FedEx box. If you trade in both directions, items can stay vaulted between trades.
What can be vaulted right now
Gold and Platinum products, including Pre-33 gold. Silver and Palladium are planned for a future update.
What the Vault cannot do yet
Right now, Vault items can be used to fulfill orders on Pure. Shipping items from the Vault directly to your own address is in development. If you want an item in hand today, have it shipped to you at purchase instead.
Do I still own my vaulted items?
Yes. Vaulted metals stay yours, with full ownership and control. The only thing the Vault changes is where the items are stored.
How do I get access?
