How do I make sure my package is insured when I ship to Pure?

A
Written by Aidan Schwartz

Your shipment to Pure is insured up to $125,000 as long as you use Pure's prepaid FedEx label and follow the packaging and drop-off rules below. The insurance covers the full order value. To keep it valid, use only the label Pure provides, pack the item correctly, drop off at a FedEx-branded location, and never tell FedEx the value or contents.

Is my shipment to Pure insured?

Yes. Every shipment sent on Pure's prepaid FedEx label is insured up to $125,000, covering the full value of your order. You do not buy or arrange your own insurance.

What do I need to do to keep my package insured?

1. Use only the prepaid label Pure provides. Do not create or use your own label.

2. Double-box the item. Both the inner and outer box must be rigid boxes. Do not use a mailer bag or envelope for either box.

3. Seal it correctly. Affix the label to the outer FedEx box, tape it down at all corners, and make sure its properly sealed.

4. Drop off in person at a FedEx-branded location and get a physical drop-off receipt. Do not use non-FedEx locations such as grocery stores, Walgreens, or Pack N Ship.

What voids the insurance?

To keep your package covered, do not:

- Tell FedEx the value of the package.

- Disclose the contents of the package.

- Put the label in a plastic envelope.

- Use your own label instead of Pure's.

- Drop off at a location that is not FedEx-branded.

When should I ship?

Ship Monday through Wednesday for two-day service, or Monday through Thursday for overnight. Avoid weekends and shipping after the FedEx express cutoff time.
